Time. In the wilderness, you can experience a different sort of time. Much slower and quiet, but also miraculous.
The above three images illustrate how the piece changes in a different light.
Depending on the reflection of the light, the sky is seen in different values. Light to dark to light again. As this transition takes place, by moving around the piece, the moon will appear. This is achieved by a painstaking hand application of 24k white gold leaf on each canvas print.

With work spanning more than four decades and displayed all around the world, his love for the mountains has captured the eyes of many.

Born in the foothills of Colorado in 1959, his roots to the Rocky Mountains go back more than 80 years. As a young boy he personally knew homesteading pioneers that came to Colorado on Horse and Wagon.At a very young age, his father taught he and his sister to camp and appreciate the great outdoors. Through it, he developed a deep love and respect for the wild places. His mover, also an artist, encouraged him as she saw a young talent brisk to evolve…
