"Winds of Change" 12K gold leaf, Limited to 25 prints
This oil painting is an exploration in design using 12K white gold leaf. As the viewer moves to different angles, the light changes the painting by creating different moods… looking like a change in weather or the time of day. In certain angles of light, the moon will disappear. The title relates to the winds of autumn passing to bring the winter snows. A difficult season for survival. The rut has passed, and the coming snows bring a change as the herds begin to migrate to the lower winter ranges. Our home/studio is in the wintering grounds and as many as 700 elk migrate from Rocky Mountain National Park to our area alone. They need this grazing area to sustain them through the cold winter months. Signed and numbered. “SK” embossed stamp below image. Comes with holographic sealed certificate of authenticity.
